Hunter Douglas Partners With Colorado Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for National Window Covering Safety Month

BROOMFIELD, CO (October 2018)—Hunter Douglas, the leading manufacturer and marketer of custom window treatments in North America, has partnered with the Colorado Chapter of Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), an organization that supports and promotes court-appointed advocates for abused or neglected children to provide them with safe and healthy environments in permanent homes, to highlight National Window Coverings Safety Month (October).

Details of the partnership include Hunter Douglas installing all new cordless blinds in the CASA office in Greeley, CO, training for CASA volunteers on compliant window coverings during home inspections, as well as keeping track of ‘Safety Impressions.’

More importantly, I wanted to be part of a program that made a positive difference for kids,” said Susan Burton, Hunter Douglas Test Lab Manager in Broomfield, CO. “My case involves some amazing little kids that deserve to always feel love and consistency in their lives. If I can help a little person feel optimistic and build memories that make them smile, it will all be worth it,” continued Burton.
