Do automations automatically change for daylight saving time?

In PowerView® Gen 3 systems, automations are stored in the shades. The precise times when the shades move as scheduled will be determined by each shade’s clock. The PowerView App, or Gateway in a Gateway-based system, will update the time clocks on the shades to account for Daylight Saving Time, as well as changes in sunrise and sunset. Over time, the clock on the shade will drift if it does not receive regular time updates.

With a Gateway, this update process is automatic and happens at least once a day. If you don’t have a Gateway, the PowerView App on your smartphone or tablet will update shade clocks at least once a day if the app is open and running in the phone’s background, and the shades are in range. It is important to note that if the PowerView App is actually closed (“force closed” or “hard closed”) rather than just backgrounded, it cannot complete these clock updates. In that scenario, you would need to regularly open the app, while at home, to keep the shade clocks updated.
