PEARL RIVER, NY (September 20th, 2021)—Hunter Douglas, the world’s leading manufacturer of custom window treatments, announced today the expansion of its Design Studio™ Featured Artist series with collections from San Francisco-based textile designer Seema Krish and New York City-based visual artist Marcie Bronkar. Launched in 2019, Design Studio was Hunter Douglas’ first foray into the soft goods arena—offering Drapery and Side Panels, plus an expanded assortment of Roman and Roller Shade options designed to seamlessly coordinate with existing Hunter Douglas products so consumers could effortlessly achieve the layered look at the window that they desired. Founded with Rebecca Atwood as the inaugural Featured Artist, the expanded assortment will provide customers thoughtfully designed textiles in a wide range of options for a fully dressed window.

“Launching two new Featured Artists for our Design Studio program is an incredibly exciting moment for Hunter Douglas. As we think about the current needs of our consumer, we are certain that the introduction of these collections will only further their ability to complete the look of their window through our portfolio of products. With Seema’s collection that embraces hand-craft techniques and Marcie’s assortment that pays homage to time-honored design, we are confident that each artist’s aesthetic will resonate with consumers as they seek out inspired designs for their home.” says Ron Rubinoff, president of Hunter Douglas Window Designs Group.

Seema Krish and Marcie Bronkar’s Collections for Design Studio will debut with fresh and modern fabrics designed to enhance rooms with their distinctive designs. The fabrics will be available in Side Panels, Drapery, Roller Shades and Roman Shades in harmonizing colors and patterns. The collections perfectly complement and coordinate with the Design Studio Core Line of fabrics and as well as the entire assortment of Hunter Douglas window treatments.
