I have an apartment with a 300-square-foot loft that has a small window. I am looking for ideas for window treatments to make the room look larger.
You can create the illusion of expansiveness with shutters. Strong vertical and horizontal lines in a window covering not only make the window the star in the room, they stretch the eye to create width and height. Shutters create height in a room and elongate it when your eye takes in the beautiful frame that runs vertically on the sides, and the louvers create an illusion of dramatic width.
