Privacy & Light Control
In my basement I have two well windows. I like the light but hate the view. It always looks dirty. Do you have any ideas for me?
I do understand your quandary because I have dealt with it myself. I came upon a wonderful solution quite by accident. When I bought my house, my finished basement windows were covered with stained glass depicting golfers with a florescent light behind them. I took the golfers down but left the light up. I had Heritance® hardwood shutters in a 3 ½" size louver installed and opened the louvers slightly. During the day there is light but not the ugly view. At night I turn on the florescent light and with the shutters slightly open, it creates a beautiful light in the room. Everyone loves it!
