You talk about decorating with wonderful colors and I would love to use more in my home, but I am afraid I'll make the wrong choice. Any advice?
Admitting that you have a problem is the first step to a more colorful life. That said, I do have a suggestion, so you'll feel more confident using color. The first step: Find an existing or new print for your room. It can be a drapery or an upholstery fabric, wallpaper or an area rug. Select two or three colors from that print that you like. Next step: Go to the paint store, and buy the smallest amount of paint colors that match these two or three colors. Then, stop at the craft store, and buy two or three foam core boards. Paint at least two coats of paint on these boards and let dry.
Now, move these color boards around your room. How do they look with your furnishings? Look at them during the daytime and nighttime. Which one looks best and makes you feel good? You might have just found your color. Trust me, the right color will speak to you—and you'll make the perfect choice.
